A delayed flight can be message from nature to take a pause and also opens an unexpected room of perspectives. After a long day of customer workshops in #Mumbai, I was ready to head back to #Delhi. Then came the message we all dread: “Your flight has been delayed.” 💡Instead of killing time and keep waiting at boarding gate 53, I requested cab driver to drop me at #SakiNaka as I decided to head to a local spot. It turned out to be a much better investment of time. As I ended up in a great debate on Sales vs. Operations with a group of sharp, young professionals. We exchanged notes on career growth, execution, and navigating workplace dynamics. 💰But the real highlight of the evening was meeting a retired #Army officer. A #Kargil War veteran who carried bullet injuries from his service, he now navigates the #corporate world. Hearing his take on resilience, grit, and structural discipline completely re-anchored how we view our daily "fires" and corporate challenges. It left me with a clear takeaway: 🧿 We get so caught up in tight schedules, automation, and optimizing every minute that we treat a delay like a disaster. But sometimes, a disruption is just a forced pause. An opportunity to: ✅ Step out of the boardroom bubble. ✅ Listen to raw, real-world stories. ✅ Build organic connections without an agenda. What looked like wasted time turned into fresh perspectives, sharp insights, and a powerful reminder that the best networking happens when you aren't trying to network. The next time your travel plans get derailed, don’t just stare at the departure board. Step out and connect, the best leadership lessons are often completely unplanned. #CustomerSuccess #Leadership #Networking #Operations #Resilience #ProfessionalGrowth #BusinessStrategy
