Honoured to welcome Ms. Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, Honorary President of the Louis Dreyfus Foundation (LDF) along with LDF Board Members and Advisors, to the project villages in Tonk district, Rajasthan. The visit reviewed progress of the Sustainable Income Enhancement and Nutrition Security Program — an initiative launched in 2020 by LDF in partnership with the Centre for microFinance (CmF). The program has empowered over 5,800 women farmers across 69 villages, helping them triple their income and achieve greater self-reliance and food security. Through sustainable farming practices — including vegetable cultivation, micro-irrigation, nutrition gardens, biogas units, and livestock improvement — farmers are achieving higher yields and improved household nutrition. During the visit, Ms. Louis-Dreyfus and the delegation also met with students from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru (UAS-B), who have received LDF scholarships. This program supports underprivileged students pursuing agricultural studies, helping them continue their education and build a new generation of skilled agricultural professionals. Selected students will also gain hands-on experience through internships at LDC, strengthening their future career prospects. It was inspiring to witness the passion and innovation of both the women farmers in Tonk and the young scholars shaping the future of sustainable agriculture. Their stories reaffirm our belief that empowering people through knowledge, opportunity, and partnership drives lasting change. Together, we remain committed to advancing inclusive and sustainable growth across India. 🌾 Rubens Marques Robert Serpollet Gangadhara S Ekaterina Naymark Pauline Delorme Varnika Gupta #LDC #LouisDreyfusFoundation #Sustainability #WomenInAgriculture #InclusiveGrowth #CommunityImpact #RuralDevelopment #Empowerment #Education #SustainableFarming #Leadership
