It's time again for the career class Informational Interview assignment. This assignment asks students to connect with people in the industry to 1) grow their network, 2) learning more about the ad and marketing landscape and 3) be able to meet new people and enhance their interview skills. By all accounts it is a tough market out there for job seekers, especially those starting out. AI is being used extensively for what might have been entry level job responsibilities and has become the go-to for productivity enhancement. The industry is shifting to consolidation and I could go on about the external economic factors that are also at play. Suffice to say, it is tough to get a foot in the door. So the ask of my network, CAB alumni and more, if one of our students reaches out to you for the opportunity to chat for a few minutes, please say yes. It would mean the world to them.
