Tens of thousands of people. Forest terrain. And a race that continues through the night under the Nordic midnight sun. That's Jukola - one of the world's largest relay orienteering events, bringing together participants from across the globe in a unique combination of endurance, teamwork, and nature. Last weekend in Kotka, Sulzer was proud to be part of this extraordinary event - both at Metsäareena 2026 and in the Jukola relay itself. The weekend started with Metsäareena, where industry leaders gathered to discuss forest industry innovations, business growth and sustainability in the forest sector. We were proud to have Jukka Rantanen representing Sulzer as panelist. Sulzer participated with runners from both Switzerland and Finland: - 1 team in the Venla relay - 2 teams in the Jukola relay From daytime relays to night-time navigation, Jukola is all about trust, collaboration, and pushing your limits together. The weather was quite challenging with heavy rain, slippery trails and plenty of mud. But in the end, it’s the atmosphere that truly counts.
