Excited to announce that the main findings of my PhD thesis, looking at the impact of "The Magic Glasses Opisthorchiasis" on schoolchildren in the Lower Mekong Basin, have now been published. This work is focused on improving health outcomes surrounding Opisthorchis viverrini, an endemic neglected tropical disease endemic to the Lower Mekong that first occurs in childhood and is linked to severe health outcomes including liver and bile duct cancer. To develop, implement and evaluate this intervention I worked closely with a brilliant team of experts from Australia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Switzerland and Northern Ireland and I am incredibly proud of what we achieved.
