Google Cloud for Agents
I couldn't agree more with Michael Clark's post: the real challenge in this space is moving past the demo by bridging the "prototype-to-production gap" for AI agents. I'm incredibly proud to have helped lead our work on the new observability components in Vertex AI Agent Builder. It was a privilege to collaborate with the engineering team to bring these tools to life. Reliability at scale is non-negotiable for production agents, and I'm thrilled that we are now offering developers the critical insights needed to manage, monitor, and trust their agents in live environments. My personal drive for this work -- 1. Making production-ready AI accessible for other companies on Google Cloud Platform, so they can truly harness this technology. 2. I'm hopeful that with a company like Google at the helm, we can put ethics and morals first, ensuring that the powerful agents built on our platform are used responsibly for the greater good. Big congratulations to Michael and the entire team listed (and those not listed!) who made this massive launch possible. We just made scaling an agent a whole lot easier. Last but not least, we couldn't have done this without the amazing work that Liudmila Molkova, Aaron Abbott and team are doing in the GenAI SIG in OpenTelemetry!
