Each year, businesses in the United Kingdom dispose of over one million tonnes of goods and materials that could be reused. We are proud to be a founding member of the Circularity in Practice initiative, a pledge signed by more than 150 business leaders to prioritise reuse, repair, remanufacturing and recycling from the very start. All too often, circular management is an afterthought rather than second nature. Items ranging from building materials to furniture are discarded despite being suitable for refurbishment or recycling. As one of the driving forces behind this initiative we hosted the launch at the Renew Hub in Greater Manchester Combined Authority – a shining example of re-use and upcycling in action. His Majesty King Charles III, whose lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship is an inspiration to us all, visited the facility. He toured areas where household items are repaired, refurbished, and upcycled, and engaged with our staff, volunteers, apprentices, and partners, who ensure that these resources continue to circulate within the local economy. At SUEZ, we believe that embracing circularity is essential to protecting resources and empowering communities. Join us in making reuse and recycling standard business practice. ♻️
