Sucden has published its 2025 Responsibility Report, the seventh consecutive annual edition and a meaningful step forward in the company’s sustainability journey. This year’s report reflects progress across climate action, sustainable supply chains, and farmer livelihoods. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e8Bqv9Mj Key highlights include: For the first time, Sucden has set near-term emissions reduction targets aligned to a 1.5°C pathway, establishing a clear framework against which climate progress will be tracked and reported. Direct emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) declined to 480,081 tCO₂e, Scope 3 emissions intensity per tonne of traded cocoa decreased, and water consumption in sugar production remained at 2.8 m³/tonne, a 50% reduction achieved ahead of target. In cocoa, Sucden formalized its Living Income and Environmental Frameworks for Action. Living Income Accelerator programmes now support more than 7,300 smallholder households in Côte d’Ivoire, while Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation Systems cover over 106,000 households. Sucden also launched a collaborative five-year initiative to advance low-carbon, climate-resilient cocoa production in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. In coffee, Sucden Coffee Verified achieved formal recognition under the Global Coffee Platform’s Equivalence Mechanism, reaching more than 16,000 farmers across Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Sucden Group has directed USD 5.6 million to general interest programs and deployed USD 32.3 million in sustainability funds on behalf of third parties, up from USD 25.5 million the prior year.
