SUBMARINER showed up in force at MSP Week in Brussels two weeks ago. Ivana Lukic represented SUBMARINER and ULTFARMS on the panel "Harvesting the Wind and the Sea!" — a session that went beyond technology to tackle the harder governance questions: who holds responsibility for access, safety, and liability when aquaculture and offshore wind share the same space? How do licensing systems interact? These are areas where Maritime Spatial Planning plays a critical role, and where the shift from single-use to multi-use thinking is already becoming visible across North Sea planning processes. At our booth, Ivana Stojanović also showcased the growing interconnection between Marine Protected Areas, Maritime Spatial Planning, and Multi-use approaches.
