I’ve been dreaming of directing a small Christmas film for years and it finally happened, thanks to Picard Surgelés and DDB .🎄 The idea was to turn the new collection of Yule logs into the protagonists of a small Christmas factory where each dessert travels on a train through snowy landscapes, shaped and polished by tiny workers under the completely useless supervision of penguins. I’m so happy with the result it required an enormous amount of patient, meticulous work. We worked in a very organic and unique way, combining real stop motion shot on miniature sets with 3D characters sculpted and animated in stop-motion VR. We will post a behind-the-scenes making-of in the coming days to show how this miniature universe was built frame by frame.
