The hallway-and-classroom model of school architecture is out. Instead, the new approach is to treat the whole school as a classroom — both interior & exterior spaces. Corridors are reimagined as active learning environments rather than transitional spaces. Each corridor zone is assigned a distinct theme — such as Art & Literature, Technology, Creative Arts and Emotional Intelligence — carefully aligned with the functions of the spaces it serves (science labs, music rooms…). These corridors will have exhibits on the walls that won't be permanent and will display student projects and interactive activities regarding these topics, updated regularly. The aim is to create a forward-thinking school that features flexible learning spaces which emphasize collaboration, small groups and hands-on learning — as well as calming spaces that address student mental health and well-being. 📍 Alexandria, Egypt · 2024–2025 Architecture, Interior & Landscape Design · K-12 · Under Construction #Studio86 #Architecture #EducationalDesign #AlexandriaBritishAcademy #ArchitectureEgypt
