The Race Starts Here: Exclusive Opportunity to Lead the West-Midlands Entry for the 2026 Student Motorsport Competition! Student Motorsport resumes its search for another educational partner, be it a College, University, or a student-led group (16+) based in Birmingham or West Midlands area, to form a competition racing team for the 2026 season. This is a massive opportunity to join the grid of the UK’s and the world’s only on-track student motor racing series. Through a strategic collaboration with our partners, the selected institution will benefit from: Vehicle Provision: The use of two race cars provided by the Championship sponsor, the industry-leading Nankang Tyres. Both Nankang Tyre UK and the BRSCC have been steadfast supporters of the Student Motorsport Competition since its inaugural season in 2022. National Competition: Your team will race within the prestigious BRSCC CityCar Cup, one of the UK’s most vibrant and professional racing series. You will compete alongside 15–20 other Student Motorsport Competition entries, and the wider CityCar Cup grid. We are anticipating packed, maximum-capacity grids once again for the 2026 season! Media Exposure: The project will be partly televised, with aspects of the team’s activities being filmed and featured on a network television programme produced by the acclaimed Birmingham-based specialists, Paddock Speedshop. Comprehensive Support: Your institution will receive dedicated Support and Guidance from Paddock Speedshop and Student Motorsport, including access to specialised training and exclusive industry opportunities to ensure your team's success on and off the track. Cross-Departmental Development: A 'real-world' industry project spanning engineering, media production, commercial management, and logistics. This is an exclusive opportunity designed to complement existing programmes, or other motor racing projects, providing a unique platform for students to engage in a high-intensity, professional racing environment. We are looking for an institution ready to enhance its curriculum and provide students with a career-defining experience on a national stage. We have already begun preliminary discussions with local educators. If your institution is interested in being a part of this initiative for 2026, please contact me directly or comment below to arrange a briefing. Time is of the essence, we are looking to secure talks with potential new teams by 30th January. To ensure your institution is part of the 2026 grid and TV production schedule, please get in touch asap. The countdown is on...Race Event 1: 11.04.26. Miss it, miss out!
