Smithson plaza - Grade II* listed London landmark, formerly know as The Economist Building, designed by radical architects Alison and Peter Smithson in the 1960s. The contract was part of a full refurbishment of this London architectural gem, which the original architects always said would ‘adapt with the times’. While the building required modernisation to bring all specs in line with current safety standards, to match materials and remain as true as possible to the original vision of the building, the client confirmed specification with WICONA and Historic England. The video captures the full cycle of installation per unit of glass, working alongside Epiphany and with the aid of several team members and a glazing robot. In total, the team replaced 288 double glazed units. The final look on one of the completed floors is a fantastic upgrade to a prestigious project, one we’re very proud to have supported using our team of experts. #listedbuilding #londonarchitecture #glazing #UKconstruction #structura
