🌟 Ecosystem Tour: A Day of Inspiration and Collaboration! 🌟 What an incredible day to dive deep into the Munich startup ecosystem! We brought together our students from the Entrepreneurship and Corporate Venturing master's programs at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt and the Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation master's program at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. This event showcased the immense value of networking and knowledge sharing, merging diverse perspectives to fuel innovation. Our Journey: Stop 1️⃣: BayStartUP Kickstarting our tour, Max Achmedschin provided invaluable insights into the great support system for startups BayStartUP. He encouraged students to leverage these resources, regardless of where they are in their entrepreneurial journey. It’s inspiring to note that major players like FlixBus and Celonis began their paths also there! Stop 2️⃣: GasVisor Next, we heard from David Firmin, CEO and co-founder of GasVisor. He shared the remarkable journey of GasVisor, starting from a co-creation project with Linde in our Master program to successfully selling their first 1,000 products. David emphasized the importance of believing in yourself and your vision, even amidst challenges and restructuring. A fun fact: the parents from his co-founder Maximilian Betz are also now involved in the business - what a testament to the power of family support and entrepreneurial spirit! Stop 3️⃣: Lio (formerly askLio) At our third stop, we met with Florian Wanzeck (recent THI alumnus) and Lukas Bernhardt. The commitment to customer satisfaction has propelled Lio (formerly askLio) to become the 3rd fastest-growing startup in Germany last week. With over €30M in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. We can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next! Stop 4️⃣: mantro  Finally, Manfred Tropper and Markus Ortmann shared their insights from over 20 years of venture building. They demonstrated how integrating venture building with an investment fund enables them to navigate the industry uniquely. The highlight? Students received real-time feedback on their projects from the people at mantro. A special thanks to Jessica Hübel (THI alumna), Uwe Reder, Stefan Gregor, Christoph Ammerl, and Maurice Lange for their invaluable constructive feedback and engaging discussion! As one of our students Lovish Sharma aptly noted, “Building a startup in Munich means being in the right rooms. Yesterday was one of those rooms.” Everyone left feeling inspired and motivated! We are grateful for the stories shared - both the triumphs and the challenges. ⏩ Looking Ahead: We’re excited for our next session in May! If you’re a startup interested in joining our “Table Captain” initiative on May 11th from 4 to 6 PM, reach out to our co-organizer Florian Huber and Dr. Dana Schultchen. #EcosystemTour #Entrepreneurship #Networking #Munich #StartupEcosystem
