A new analysis in Frontiers in Public Health highlights the value of the Stop TB Partnership’s Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) in strengthening community leadership, improving uptake and access to TB services and reducing stigma. An analysis of reports from 99 CFCS-funded projects on the challenges, lessons learned, and unexpected outcomes of TB programmes demonstrates relational impacts of TB community funding which are often be missed in programme metrics. They show us that funding communities is not optional. It is fundamental to efforts to end TB. Community-led responses are essential to: ✅ Address stigma and barriers to care - whereby TB stigma is not only a barrier to care, but also an operational barrier to programme delivery. ✅ Increase demand and access for new TB tools, including shorter regimens and innovations for drug-resistant TB ✅ Strengthen meaningful community engagement, community-led monitoring and accountability ✅ Reach underserved populations ✅ Build TB and health awareness and trust among communities while improving the uptake of TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment ✅ Increasing political will and investments in the TB response 📖 Read the article https://lnkd.in/eDRRPu64 📖 Learn more about the Challenge Facility for Civil Society https://lnkd.in/eEr_Mmmb In 2026, Challenge Facility continues with support from L'Initiative - Expertise France and Unitaid
