Granting legal personhood to rivers is a positive step for environmental governance, but it's only the first of many. A new report from researchers at SEI York, SEI Asia and SEI Latin America lays out what's needed to take river rights from abstract jurisprudence to practical reality. The report draws on research undertaken with key stakeholders in Bangladesh and Colombia, two countries who have moved to implement river rights, but in very different ways. Project lead Alison Dyke has summarized the report's key insights, or you can read the report in full, now live on our website: https://buff.ly/JbZe56H SEI Asia – Stockholm Environment Institute | SEI Latinoamérica – Instituto de Ambiente de Estocolmo Yesica Alejandra Rodríguez Blásquez, Dayoon Kim, Robert Farnan, Sushmita Mandal, Cláudia Coleoni
