We’re marking 40 years by looking forward. Today we’re launching 40 Forward, a coordinated initiative across SThree focused on how STEM work is changing, and where pressure is already building. At the centre is a new insight report, developed with futurist Tom Cheesewright. It brings together what we’re seeing across STEM markets right now: – Skills shortages starting to slow delivery and growth – AI adoption accelerating faster than leadership capability – Workforce models shifting as demand becomes more project-based These patterns are already shaping how organisations hire, build teams, and deliver work. For leaders, the challenge isn’t awareness, it’s clarity on what to act on, and when. This report is designed to help with that. It connects long-term shifts with near-term decisions, highlighting: – Where capability gaps are likely to widen first – Which skills areas are becoming business-critical – How workforce strategy needs to evolve to keep pace with demand With 40 years of experience in STEM labour markets, we’ve seen how these cycles develop, and how quickly small gaps turn into structural problems when action is delayed. That perspective sits behind this work. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more, including a conversation between our CEO, Timo Lehne, and Tom Cheesewright, unpacking what these shifts mean in practice. For now, the full report is live. 🔗 Read the report: https://lnkd.in/eRDFHqNZ #40Forward #STEMforward
