Placement Poverty is an ongoing issue for many students on clinical placement. In the article below that I co-wrote with Min Ku, we examined the often-overlooked financial challenges students face during clinical placements - costs that can significantly impact learning experiences, wellbeing and progression through their studies. This paper aims to bring greater awareness to the structural barriers affecting students in MRS and address commonly held misconceptions of the value of clinical placement for Medical Radiation students.
