Open infrastructure for academic publishing
Time flies! Tomorrow is my last day at ScienceOpen after over 12 years. I am so proud of what we have built together, but I am in need of a break. I am happy to turn over the management to Nina Tscheke, Alexander Grossmann, and Peter Berko and I wish them great success in taking ScienceOpen to the next level. A huge thank you to every researcher, editor, publisher, society, institute, and partner who I have worked with over the years. You all made ScienceOpen possible. From the moment the founders, Alexander Grossmann and Tibor Tscheke, and I sat around a table with a blank white board and the goal of re-thinking scholarly publishing, it has been a team effort. I would like to send out a special thanks to a few members -Stuart Cooper, Jeff Bettencourt, Rajeev Voleti, Ed McCormick, Sebastian Alers, PhD, Liz Allen, Agata Morka, PhD, Sarah Goodrum, Ph.D., Dr. Andreas Pithis, Dan Cook, Nana Bit-Avragim (she/her), Erzsébet Tóth-Czifra, Erik Riemenschneider, Jixin Zhou, PMP, PBA, Inasa Bibić, Bartosz Radomski, Kevin Jasini, Mary Kennedy, Jacqueline Hirsh Greene, Nur Atmaca, Tori Larsen, Sienna Mayers, Marla Engelhardt, Enno Bela Bork, Georg Benter, Haibao Xue, András Parditka, Balint Herczeg, and Tihamer Rozman. You were all awesome to work with! I posted my farewell letter to our blog. Wishing everyone at ScienceOpen all the best. https://lnkd.in/eGJcc--Q
