Turning complex payments into seamless transactions @ Otto Group

Launching a new payment method is a marathon, not a sprint. Providers need to get multiple stakeholders on board: - Consumers - Merchants - Banks and Acquirers (if you choose a 4-party-scheme) It's like building a plane mid-air: competition is intense, innovation is rapid, regulations are always changing, and feedback can be harsh. ๐ Time for a heartful congratulations to the entire Wero-team, e.g. Martina Weimert, Fabian Mansfeld, Markus Fuchs! ๐ Iโm excited to see the first transactions at Otto Group's merchants Baur and Quelle soon. Weโll be integrating Wero to settle open invoices as a pilot project. Meanwhile, I finished my first live transactions at "Genostore" to get this beautiful shirt. ๐ Itยดs just the beginning. For wider adoption and more transactions, these topics need to be addressed: - More PSPs ready (like Nexi and Adyen) - More banks onboard (like DKB and Commerzbank) - Simplified, consistent fees (no country-specific differences) - Transparent scheme fees - Joint marketing campaigns with merchants - Easy chargeback processes for both merchants and customers - Additional features (like recurring payments) - Expansion to more countries (beyond just interoperability) I know the team at EPI is working hard on a couple of things - keep going! Have you tried Wero yet? What was your experience? #Payments #Wero #EPI
