Robert Koch was a pioneer of modern bacteriology and received the Nobel Prize in 1905 for his discovery of the tuberculosis pathogen. Today, 115 years later, his name is primarily being associated with the battle against a virus. The Robert Koch Institute in Berlin, Germany, is doing excellent work that we are all benefiting from. It’s essential to build on and further this kind of research and advisory expertise in Germany and throughout Europe. Especially when the coronavirus has been overcome and because targeted and global pandemic preparedness is becoming more vital than ever before. #humanprogress #coronavirus #europe
