Assistance making CZECH and POLISH CITIZENSHIP applications according to the Polish Citizenship Act of 2009 (Dz.U.2023.0.1989 t.j. ) and Section 44(1) of Act No. 186/2013 Coll., on Citizenship of the Czech Republic (2007). There have been four routes to acquisition: conferment (nadanie obywatelstwa np. przez prezydenta), typically after five years of residence and tax-payment in the country in question; spousal acquisition (nabycie przez małżenstwo z obywatelem danego kraju); reversal of loss of citizenship (przywrócenia); acknowledgement of nationality for descendents of Polish and Czech citizens (uznanie za obywatela cyzli procedura administracyjna prowadzona przez wojewodę). While previous sticking points on the question of dual nationality and previous loss of citizenship due to emigration have been steadily removed, the Polish government has in October 2025 announced imminent tightening of procedures – minimum residency, even for people of Polish descent – as well as tax residency and citizenship test requirements.
