✨🇦🇹🇮🇹 Great joy & gratitude! Our project “Mozart MEETS Puccini”, part of this year’s Bella Musica Tour 2025 of the Mozarteum University Salzburg , was featured in the Austrian news – with a truly special highlight: the meeting of Mozart’s and Puccini’s original instruments in Italy! 🎻🎶 We are incredibly proud that ORF foreign correspondent Cornelia Vospernik and her film team traveled all the way from Rome to Lucca, the birthplace of Puccini, to cover our project. 🎥✨ A particularly moving moment: Young violinists Ida Gillesberger (class of Anneliese-Clara Gahl) and Laura Sophia Hummel (class of Hagai Shaham) performed on the original violin 🎻. Moritz Defregger (class of Klara Flieder-Pantillon / Lukas Hagen) and Marinus Kreidt (class of Thomas Riebl) also brought Mozart’s original instruments (violin & viola) to life 🎶💫. Other soloists who performed in the concerts included: Arad Karimi (class of Britta Bauer), Marie Aggermann (class of Sonja Korak – mdw), Bernadette and Elisabeth Pihusch (class of Michaela Girardi), Lenz Defregger & Jeremias Luther (class of Clemens Hagen), Raphael Bauer (class of christine hoock ), Magdalena Hafner & Leonhard Mayrhuber (class of Andreas Schablas Schablas), and Celeste Nardi (Conservatorio Luigi Boccherini). 👉 With more than 10 concerts in Florence, Lucca, Milan, Cremona, and Brixen, we reached an audience of 3,000. In total, 28 students from the University Mozarteum Salzburg, Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia di Roma, Conservatorio Luigi Boccherini, Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien Vienna, and the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden took part – a wonderful European collaboration! 🌍🎼 Our deepest thanks go to the Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg – especially Johannes Honsig-Erlenburg and Linus Klumpner – who made it possible for us to perform on Mozart’s original instruments. 🙏✨ Special Thanks to Teatro del Giglio Giacomo Puccini, Lucca & President Giorgio Angelo Lazzarini and Cataldo Russo (Artistic Director) and to the Casa Museo Giacomo Puccini & Luigi Viani. We are equally grateful to our generous supporters and sponsors: Karin Rehn-Kaufmann Leica Camera AG , Dorothee Volpini de Maestri , Jutta and W. Grusdat with their circle of friends, and Friedrich Springorum. Without their help, this project in its unique form would not have been possible. 🌟💖 This tour has truly been one of the most successful in our history – with excellent press coverage across the Italian media 🇮🇹📰. As initiator and artistic director, it fills me with deep joy and gratitude to have made this musical bridge possible. 💖 #MozartMeetsPuccini #Mozarteum #CulturalExchange #MusicConnects #BellaMusica #ClassicalMusic #ORF #Lucca #Florence #Milan #Cremona #Brixen #StiftungMozarteum
