What’s in a wind turbine blade? 🧐 Ok, maybe not the question you’re asking yourself daily, but as wind generates more and more energy globally, it might be nice to know more about how this tech ticks ⚙️ Thankfully, we were able to interrupt blade specialist, Birgit, at her desk with an actual blade* cross-section to get the lowdown 👩‍🏫 💡Did you know? 👉 At our repowering project in Montes de Cierzo in Spain, the team succeeded in recycling 100% of the blades in the project’s dismantling phase. *The blade used in this video is a small version of a V117, which is the most commonly used blade types across our German and Norwegian wind fleets.
