Technology runs in the family for Don and Rob, two generations shaping the organization’s auto systems, past and present. Don, a retired systems analyst, joined the organization when the technology department was called Data Processing. Over 38 years, he earned the nickname “Mr. Auto” for pioneering many auto insurance applications, some still in use today. “I always kept in mind others would follow me. Our teams focused on simplifying logic and improving efficiency.” Rob, a technology director, continues the work his father began by driving the evolution of these systems. “We’re advancing to the next generation of technology that will elevate State Farm and serve our customers better." Proud to carry on his father’s legacy of quality and servant leadership, Rob adds, “I’m driven to push State Farm forward with newer technology while honoring the foundation my dad built. “As we sunset these applications, we honor the incredible work of those before us.
