This spring, Startup Colorado partnered with the Colorado Office of Just Transition to launch a specialized Idea Factory cohort for workers navigating the state’s shifting energy economy. Fourteen rural founders came together to explore entrepreneurship as a path forward for themselves, their families, and their communities. We teamed up with OJT because of our shared belief that rural communities deserve the resources and support to thrive. Through four weeks of collaboration, these entrepreneurs shaped their concepts, sharpened their strategies, and discovered that while launching a business can feel uncertain, it doesn’t have to be lonely.
