Pitch for Good Banyule Raises $6400 for The Fabric ReStore, Boosting Local Social Impact Ecosystem BANYULE, VIC – The energy was electric at the Banyule City Council offices for Pitch for Good Banyule 2026. Run in partnership with StartSomeGood, the live pitch night bypassed traditional judging panels, instead handing 100% of the decision-making power directly to the audience to back impactful local projects. The Fabric ReStore—Melbourne’s only dedicated fabric and sewing supplies recovery hub—successfully raised a remarkable $6400 during the event through audience votes and Council-matched funding. The team captured the room's imagination with their mission to reduce textile waste, securing this major financial boost to help fund a permanent home and scale their recycling capabilities. The unique Pitch for Good model turned every attendee into a philanthropist. Each $30 event ticket was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Banyule City Council, transforming every single entry into a powerful $60 donation token. Continued Support for the Entire Banyule Ecosystem While The Fabric ReStore secured the live event funding, the night launched a massive collective movement for all five participating initiatives. The remaining four local changemakers have live, companion crowdfunding campaigns running on StartSomeGood, and community members are heavily encouraged to back their vital missions: ▪️ The Fabric ReStore: The live crowdfunding campaign, "Help Stitch The Fabric ReStore in place; space, recycling, stability," is aiming to reach its ultimate goal of $12,000 by 27 June 2026.
