🚀 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝘂𝘀 New Dawn Bio 🌳 𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱 We are thrilled to share that New Dawn Bio 🌳, a StartLife alumnus and Wageningen-based deep-tech startup, has closed an oversubscribed €2.1 million pre-seed round led by CapitalT, with participation from Norrsken Evolve, Ontdekkers Groep, and a group of angels including Jelle Prins. 🌳 New Dawn Bio is pioneering the world's first cultured wood. Their technology harvests stem cells from trees, multiplies them in bioreactors, and guides the cells to harden into the shape of the desired end product. The result is premium wood grown up to 10,000 times faster than conventional forestry, with no logging required.
