Welcome to The 1912 Pike Place Experience, a reimagining of the original Starbucks that’s rooted in coffee, connection and history. ​ The team at 1912 Pike, the location of the first Starbucks, has transformed how it feels to both visit and work at the space, a touchstone for Starbucks history as well as for Pike Place Market and the city of Seattle. ​​ The hundreds of thousands of yearly visitors to the iconic but tiny, 960-square-foot space will now enjoy a reservation-based entry so they can spend time exploring Pike Place Market instead of standing in line. ​ Once inside, they’ll be welcomed by brand and cultural ambassadors who will help guide visitors through an experience featuring coffee, history and stories about where it all began for Starbucks.
