At Staples, investing in the next generation of leaders is something we’re deeply passionate about. In March, as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations, we welcomed nearly 30 Grade 12 female mentees from the Girls E-Mentorship (GEM) program to our head office for a day of learning, inspiration, and connection. Organized by our Women Who Lead and MOSAIC Business Resource Groups, the day featured inspiring conversations with our women leaders, including Adrian Lang, Chief People and Legal Officer, who shared her career journey, the challenges she’s faced, and the lessons that shaped her path. Mentees also took part in a practical workshop on building strong job applications, gaining tips on resume formatting, highlighting experience, and tailoring applications to opportunities. An interactive office tour gave them a behind‑the‑scenes look at real teams and real work in action, while activities at the Staples Fitness Centre reinforced the importance of mental and physical well‑being in the workplace. A heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers from our Women Who Lead and MOSAIC BRGs who generously shared their time, energy, and expertise to make this event possible. Their passion and commitment were instrumental in creating such a meaningful experience. It was truly an honour to host these bright and motivated students at Staples Canada—connecting them with peers, exposing them to new career paths, and helping build the confidence and mindset they’ll need to succeed.
