All in for reconciliation 🤝 Last week, during National Reconciliation Week, we were proud to come together at Tarong power stations with the Wakka Wakka Traditional Owners, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council and community members to reflect on connection, shared experiences and ongoing partnerships. A highlight of the event was awarding Jennakye Simpson, a proud Wakka Wakka woman, emerging Cherbourg community leader and Queensland University of Technology student, the 2026 South Burnett First Nations Scholarship. Congratulations, Jennakye! 🎉 Jennakye’s achievement reflects her talents, the strength of her community and the opportunities created when people come together. Through her involvement in Stanwell’s Australian First Nations Project Internship Program, Jennakye is already contributing to and shaping her future career. The South Burnett First Nations Scholarship reflects Stanwell’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation in action by investing in Australian First Nations education, leadership and opportunity. Through supporting students like Jennakye, the scholarship contributes to building strong and sustainable communities across the South Burnett into the future. We’re proud to continue building strong partnerships that support shared outcomes now and into the future. #NRW2026 #Reconciliation #EnergysFuture
