Celebrating the future of health care innovation and the incredible work of more than 200 local high school students. Through the Stanford Health Care Innovation Project (SHIP), we’re inspiring the next generation of innovators who will help shape the future of patient care and discovery. Thank you to the Stanford Health Care Biomedical Engineering team and mentors for providing their time and guidance to the students, the participating schools and their passionate students, the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative, and Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Following several months of preparation, 43 student teams from public Bay Area high schools gathered to present posters, deliver presentations, and unveil working prototypes tackling real healthcare challenges. From AI-powered diagnostics to wearable sensors and early intervention technologies, the projects were developed with a focus on clinical feasibility and patient outcomes. The event brought together leaders across healthcare, medical technology, policy, and education, illustrating the potential of collaboration to nurture the next generation of innovators.
