Today’s leaders face challenges across technology, geopolitics, culture, and the environment. As these forces reshape our world, the new Stanford Leadership Institute aims to prepare leaders to help business and society navigate them. “Leaders today require new insights and strategies to move from reacting to change toward shaping it,” said Dean Sarah Soule. “By leveraging the GSB’s expertise and Stanford’s breadth and depth of excellence across disciplines, the Stanford Leadership Institute will be uniquely positioned to prepare current and future leaders to be a force for positive change.” Based at Stanford GSB, the institute is made possible in part by a foundational gift from Diane and Andreas Halvorsen, MBA ’90. “The GSB’s convening powers, combined with the deep expertise found across Stanford’s campus, make Stanford the ideal place to prepare purposeful leaders for tomorrow,” Halvorsen said. The institute builds on the Business, Government, and Society Initiative launched by Stanford President Jon Levin during his tenure as GSB dean. “I am incredibly grateful to Diane and Andreas Halvorsen for their vision and generosity,” he said, “and to GSB faculty, staff, and alumni who have been instrumental in this work, and in bringing the institute to fruition.” Read more about the Stanford Leadership Institute here: https://lnkd.in/egP9-hAn
