We recently held our second formal Shadow Executive Committee (ExCo) session, a new initiative designed to give colleagues meaningful exposure to executive-level decision-making, a deeper understanding of our strategic direction, and an opportunity to further develop their leadership capability and confidence. It gives the formal Exco new perspectives from different layers within the organisation, enriching discussions with the diverse perspectives and experiences from the 12 individuals on the Shadow ExCo. The day brought together helpful governance insight from CoSec, and a coaching session focused on strategic thinking and decision making, which equipped the Shadow ExCo to review four board papers and share their perspectives with the formal ExCo.
