We recently donated our iPads and mobile phones which we no longer use to Grassmarket Community Project, helping members who face barriers to getting online. These devices will go to Grassmarket members who’ll be supported to set up their phones, trained on how to use them day to day and given online safety training to build confidence and resilience. Standard Life also provide volunteer digital inclusion champions to support with upskilling. This is more than just access to a device - Grassmarket provides ongoing digital skills support, running regular classes designed to build confidence, independence and long‑term digital inclusion. Members will also be able to access SIMs with six months of free data through the National Databank from the Good Things Foundation. This kind of partnership shows how technology, combined with the right support, can create meaningful and lasting impact.
