What can three volunteering days make possible? Last week was Carers Week, a moment to recognise the vital role carers play in our communities. It also gave many of our colleagues a chance to use their volunteering days to support those around them. Every year, our colleagues are given three days to support the communities our customers live in. Here’s what that looked like recently. In the Midlands, 15 colleagues rolled up their sleeves at Rose Cottage Day Care Farm, helping prepare the space and getting involved in arts and crafts. The session created a relaxed environment where people could connect and enjoy time together, with some very friendly animals adding to the experience. In London, 10 colleagues teamed up with Equal People Mencap, preparing lunch for carers before an afternoon filled with activities, laughter and great company.
