One of the most notable shifts at London Climate Action Week this year has been the tone of the conversation. While climate remains the catalyst, the energy transition is increasingly being viewed through a broader strategic lens — as a priority for energy security, economic resilience, competitiveness and long-term growth. More than ever, the emphasis is now on implementation. Our contribution to this week's agenda has reflected that focus. Throughout the week, Standard Chartered has brought together UK and global policymakers, clients, investors and partners, including the International Emissions Trading Association, Green Climate Fund, RMI, Natural Climate Solutions Alliance and Earthshot Labs, to explore practical pathways to accelerate the deployment of clean energy and low-carbon infrastructure, strengthen project economics, and unlock greater flows of private capital to support the transition of the real economy. At the City of London's Net Zero Delivery Summit, discussions involving our Group Chief Executive Bill Winters and Head of Transition Finance and Advisory Ben Daly focused on the market infrastructure, policy frameworks and financial innovation needed to scale high-integrity carbon markets and channel investment into the transition. We also partnered with the Government of Indonesia and the Indonesia Climate and Growth Dialogue to convene a discussion on accelerating green growth and investment in Indonesia. As a bank with a differentiated network across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, our focus is on helping move capital efficiently from providers to projects, supporting clients on viable transition pathways, and financing the enabling infrastructure of the transition — from clean energy generation to storage and grids. Thank you to the clients, partners and policymakers who joined us throughout the week. We look forward to continuing to work together to mobilise investment, support implementation and help drive sustainable growth across our markets. #LondonClimateActionWeek #LCAW2026 #EnergyTransition #TransitionFinance #ClimateFinance #CarbonMarkets #SustainableFinance #StandardChartered
