We were pleased to welcome The Duke of Edinburgh to Seagreen’s Operations and Maintenance base at Montrose Port. Hosted by Montrose Port Authority, the visit highlighted the port’s role as a major hub for offshore wind on Scotland’s east coast and its importance to the day to day operation of Seagreen, Scotland’s largest operational offshore wind farm and our joint venture with TotalEnergies and PTTEP. The Duke also visited the Seagreen control room, where teams spoke about managing offshore operations and coordinating logistics. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the wider impact offshore wind can deliver, including support for long-term investment, skills development and employment, and gave our Chief Executive, Martin Pibworth, the opportunity to highlight our £33 billion investment plan across energy infrastructure.
