Ascot’s power story now goes beyond horsepower ☀️🐎 At Ascot Racecourse, more than 1,200 solar panels have been installed across the Grandstand roof, creating one of the largest rooftop solar projects in UK sport. Once fully energised, the system is expected to generate around 569,000 kWh of renewable electricity each year and supply around 9% of Ascot’s annual power needs. By generating electricity on site, Ascot is strengthening the resilience of its operations and gaining greater long-term cost certainty, while making practical use of existing infrastructure without disrupting events.
