Most people focus only on applying. That might be the problem. I didn’t apply for this job. I wasn’t even looking for it. And yet… I got it. Happy to share that I’ve just started a full-time role as a Behaviour Support Therapist at Yeshivah - Beth Rivkah Colleges And the way this happened? Still feels a bit surreal. I was on placement, not actively job hunting, when a recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. One message → conversation → opportunity. A reminder that I’ll keep repeating shamelessly because this experience just confirmed it for me (yet again): Applying is important. But 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 Opportunities don’t always come from chasing. Sometimes they come from being seen. This wasn’t luck. This was visibility doing its job. So put yourself out there - post, talk to people (LinkedIn yes but also outside of it) and you never know, your next job might just be a conversation away… Grateful!! And excited for what’s ahead.
