Marketing’s Next Superpower? Being Human. Earlier this year, LinkedIn’s skills on the Rise for marketing professionals signalled how marketing is evolving. With Prompt Engineering topping the list and LLM Optimisation emerging as one of the key capabilities, AI fluency is fast becoming a core marketing skill. Interestingly, alongside AI skills, creative thinking and collaboration are also on the rise, reinforcing an important truth: as AI becomes widespread, human capabilities matter even more. Insights from a recent World Economic Forum (WEF) report echo this shift, identifying creativity as one of the fastest-growing skills of the future. The takeaway? Build AI fluency but double down on what AI cannot replicate: creativity, curiosity, and continuous learning. As a quote often attributed to Albert Einstein reminds us, “The human spirit must prevail over technology.” In the age of AI, marketing’s next superpower may simply be…being human.
