We are delighted to announce the winner of the third round of the Springer Nature Fellowship for Advancing Science Journalism in Africa and the Middle East, offered in collaboration with the Knight Science Journalism (KSJ) Program at MIT. This fellowship honors our late colleague, Mohammed Yahia, a pioneering Egyptian science journalist deeply committed to advancing science communication and empowering journalists. This year's Fellow Mohammed El-Said is a science journalist and researcher in human geography. He is the science editor of The Daily News Egypt. His work spans international, regional, and local media platforms, including Scientific American Arabic Edition, Nature Middle East, Nature Africa, Al Jazeera, Al Araby Al Jadeed, and SciDev. He covers various scientific topics, including water, climate change, the environment, and geoscience.
