Stories don't just live on our bookshelves - they live in the letters, illustrations and archives that preserve them. We recently visited the Macmillan archive with Magdalena Skipper, Joyce Lorigan and our brilliant archive team to explore nearly two centuries of publishing history. From Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the very first edition of Nature, to original illustrations, letters and photographs, we uncovered some of the remarkable stories behind the collections. We also sat down with our colleagues to talk about the importance of preserving these collections, the role of storytelling in science, and why reading continues to matter. More to come soon.
