Our BBA Y1 and Y2 students hosted a very successful business fest. Except there was no real venue. It was this kind of subversive thinking that made ‘DISRUPT’ possible, a unique business fest hosted on Zoom. Our student and the Y2 President, Aleena Sajosh Poovelikunnel, had a clear vision for the event: Not just business expertise, but also practical insights. Not just advice, but also clear & honest conversations. True to the theme of ‘DISRUPT’, our guest speakers offered perspectives that deviated from the norm:   • Bhuvaneswari Veerasamy cautioning how access to data can be as much a liability as an asset • Sriram Ganeshan focused on “being ethical, being humble and being right to yourself” • Imran Ahmad pushed our students to stop waiting for answers and start anywhere, because collective efforts always pay off • Sanjeet Jha (MBA, B.Tech) pointed out that the answers exist, but what matters is the clarity of the path to get there • Tarun Arora said what many need to hear: marks do not equal success, mindset and skills matter far more! The insights didn’t stop there. Our students even had on guests who know exactly what it is like to be in their shoes—the BBA alumni! Tanishqa Kambli emphasised the importance of adapting to change. Aryan Pradhan, CFA spoke about travelling and meeting new people. Pooja Tekwani, CFA captured that lightbulb moment of realising what you learned in class actually makes sense, and Harsh Choudhary shared what can easily become a life motto: ‘Never let go of an opportunity and always keep striving!’ The event continued with thought-provoking challenges, and the idea centered on ‘the ethical use of AI’ took the crown!
