Spire Fylde Coast Hospital is proud to announce they have achieved CAP Platinum Award for Housekeeping and Catering for the second year running following an unannounced assessment by the Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP). The CAP Award programme assesses standards in food preparation, service delivery and best practice, with inspectors evaluating the experience as it is delivered in real time to patients, staff, visitors and consultants. 🏆 This achievement reflects the hospital’s continued commitment to maintaining exceptional standards that support patient safety, wellbeing and overall experience. Gay Malone, Head of Estate Services, commented 💬: “This achievement highlights the commitment of our housekeeping and catering teams, who work tirelessly to maintain a clean, safe environment while ensuring all nutritional and dietary needs are met. Delivering a consistently excellent patient experience throughout the year takes real dedication, and this award is recognition of that hard work.” CAP Inspector Ian Jackson added 💬: “To achieve platinum status for both housekeeping and catering services for a second year is a fantastic accomplishment. The teams continue to exceed the standards required for CAP’s highest award and should be extremely proud of their ongoing commitment to quality and continuous improvement.” Hospital Director Simon Orwin added 💬: “High-quality housekeeping and catering services are fundamental to good healthcare. This award provides assurance to our patients and families that both cleanliness standards and food services are delivered with care, professionalism and consistency.” Congratulations to all colleagues involved on this exceptional achievement.👏
