🏆 Proud moment for The Straits Times at the 47th Best of News Design Creative Competition by Society for News Design! This year, our ST team bagged four golds, 12 silvers, 28 bronzes and 65 awards of excellence across both digital and print works, a huge jump from the 53 awards in 2025. Hosted by the US-based Society of News Design for its 47th year, the competition is respected as one of the most esteemed global awards for news design and visual journalism. To be recognised on the global stage alongside some of the most respected names in media is a strong testament to the quality, creativity and commitment of our ST team. From digital graphics correspondent Stephanie Adeline’s interactive feature “Inside the confusing world of women’s clothing sizes” to the team’s deep dive into the issue of noise pollution in Singapore in partnership with Professor Gan Woon-Seng from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and sound research engineer Santi Peksi from NTU’s Smart National Translation Lab, these visually captivating stories showcase ST’ innovative spirit and new ways of storytelling.
