Meet Journei Ferguson, C'2026, a computer science graduate and Fulbright U.S. Student Program recipient, who spent her summer in Nairobi, Kenya, teaching middle and high school students their first lines of code. Ferguson is a Cohort 2 CodeHouse Scholar, Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholar, TMCF Scholar, and has interned with companies like Microsoft, McKinsey, and the Department of Defense.   "Spelman and Codehouse have given me so much confidence and audacity," Journei says. “Be confident,” she says. “Kenya only had two spots (for Fulbright), but I truly believed I was going to get it, so I applied.
