EUREKA Project | Day 1/21 ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Some opportunities feel unreal until you're actually living them. 3,367 miles from home. A new country. A different continent. And a room full of brilliant minds from India, Poland, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and beyond โ€” all gathered under one roof for something truly special: the Intensive International Education Programme โ€” "The Europe Ready Challenge", a part of the prestigious EUREKA Project at ลรณdลบ University of Technology, Poland. And what a way to begin. I'll be honest โ€” walking into the IFE Auditorium that morning, I was carrying two things: excitement and nerves. Excitement because this was my very first international experience. Nerves because I was about to introduce myself to a room full of strangers from completely different cultures, backgrounds, and countries. The kind of moment where you don't quite know what version of yourself to present. But then she walked in. Dorota Piotrowska โ€” TUL Professor and ICC Director at Lodz University of Technology โ€” opened the Introductory Session with an energy that was impossible to ignore. The kind of energy that doesn't just fill a room, it transforms it. And within minutes, that energy wasn't just hers anymore. It was all of ours. She then introduced an activity that was simple in design but powerful in impact. Each of us picked a chit โ€” numbered 1 to 6. Find the person holding your number. Sit down. And justโ€ฆ talk. Five minutes. Tell them who you are. Ask them who they are. That's it. It sounds ordinary. It was anything but. The excitement of meeting someone from a country you've only read about. The curiosity of learning what brought them here. The nervous smiles before the first sentence. And then realizing โ€” everyone in that room was feeling the exact same thing. That shared nervousness became a shared laughter, and just like that, a room full of strangers started feeling like a team. Every bit of hesitation I walked in with โ€” dissolved. The afternoon brought the Campus Tour, and honestly, ลรณdลบ University of Technology didn't just impress me โ€” it humbled me. This is not just a place of learning. It is a place of doing. Students here don't just study engineering โ€” they live it. They build F1 cars and race them on actual tracks. They design and compete with wind turbines. They solve real-world problems with real-world tools. Every building, every lab, every corridor told a story of ambition, creativity, and possibility. Walking through that campus, a thought hit me: "A few years ago, an opportunity like this felt like something that happened to other people. Today, I am that other person." Day 1 didn't just give me knowledge. It gave me perspective. It gave me the reminder that when curiosity is given space to grow, extraordinary things happen.
