Third cohort meeting in the East Midlands and what a mega one it was! A huge thank you to BSI for giving a presentation about who they are and what support they offer as well as Chloe Hall, PhD for delivering a talk on investing and investor opportunities through Midlands Mindforge. They both gave incredibly valuable insights for our cohort as they continue to develop their technologies. There were also brilliant presentations from two of our own East cohort project members - Madhumita Dandapani who is developing a CSF liquid biopsy test to detect and predict relapse risk in children's brain tumours and Weng Chan who is developing a novel oral antibiotic that selectively kills C. difficile while preserving the gut microbiota to prevent recurrence. It is always great to hear directly from the projects and see the incredible progress being made. The energy and engagement in the room continues to grow with each meeting, and we couldn't be prouder of the talent and ambition within this cohort.
