#CircularEconomy ▶️ New MSW sorting plant in Linköping – designed for high recovery rates At Tekniska verken in Sweden, one of Europe’s most advanced sorting plants for mixed municipal waste (MSW) has been realised. The plant is designed to recover as much material as possible while minimising the share of thermal treatment. A key driver of overall sorting performance: precise screening technology. Four SPALECK screening machines classify the material: Coarse screening upstream of the shredder → keeps fine and abrasive material out → delivers only material that actually needs to be shredded → reduces wear, lowers energy demand and protects the shredding technology Exact 3D screening → defines the grain size distribution for the entire downstream sorting process → enables precise classification with clean screening cuts Fine screening → removes moist and fine fractions early → reduces cleaning effort and improves sorting quality of downstream NIR and eddy current aggregates “Our screening machines classify and distribute the material flow very precisely – enabling downstream sorting systems to recover materials at maximum efficiency.” - Markus Döbbelt. Congratulations to the teams of Tekniska verken i Linköping AB and Banzo for the excellent implementation and thank you for the close cooperation throughout the project. BEST SCREENING. BEST INFEED. FOR BEST SORTING QUALITY. #MSW #Recycling #Sustainability #SortingTechnology #WasteManagement
